2d1n program (starts and ends in Uyuni)

The Salar de Uyuni awarded by the World Travel Award as the Best Natural Tourist Attraction in South America 2019, is located in the southwest of the department of Potosí in Bolivia and is one of the best adventure destinations you should know.

In the south of Bolivia, one of the wonders created by nature awaits you; its formation was produced by the drying-up of an immense lake that existed millions of years ago in the Altiplano, the incomparable Salar de Uyuni with more than 10,000 km2; this region becomes the perfect place to enjoy beautiful sunsets and wonderful landscapes.

The tour starts and ends in Uyuni, however, we can assist you with air or land transportation to get to Uyuni and return to La Paz or continue to San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) for an extra cost.

The first day upon your arrival our staff will wait for you at the bus terminal to take you to our office in Uyuni, breakfast time (not included).

Day 1: Uyuni – Colchani – Incahuasi Island – Salt Hostel.

You start the adventure at 10.30am with a visit to the Uyuni Train Cemetery in order to see the first Bolivian locomotives; you will visit the small town of Colchani, to see traditional and salt crafts as well as micro factories of salt with iodine. You will continue towards the great Uyuni salt flat, to explore the white expanse of salt, with an extension of more than 10,000km2, where you will also visit the Ojos del Salar (bubbles that rise to the surface with mineral-laden water) and the first salt made hotel, now a day transformed into a museum entirely built with blocks of salt, then you will visit Incahuasi Island, you can hike to the top of the island and see giant cacti’s and petrified coral rock formations. Then the entire group will take some time so that you can take some funny and surrealistic photos with the perspectives on the white surface of the salt flat. We will be able to see the sunset; at the end of the afternoon you will continue in our all-terrain vehicle to find your lodging in one of the towns around the salt flat, where you will spend the night. Upon arrival, you will have time to take a hot bath before enjoying dinner with your fellow travelers.

Accommodation: Basic lodging built with salt blocks.

Day 2: Valley of the Rocks - Andean Lagoons - Uyuni

In the morning at 07:30 we will begin our trip in the all-terrain vehicle visiting the small Salar de Chiguana, on route we will make a stop to observe the viewpoint of the Ollague volcano, then we will arrive at the high-altitude lagoons: Cañapa and Hedionda and after a stop to enjoy your lunch, you will visit the lagoon: Turquiri also know ad Black Lagoon then the Valley of the Rocks, where there are intriguing rock formations such as the Copa del Mundo wind rock or the Camello rock, among many others; At this point we begin our return to the town of Uyuni passing through the town of San Cristobal. Arrival in Uyuni at approximately 18:00 p.m.

The Salar de Uyuni 2 days 1 night tour includes pick up in Uyuni village, you can request your transfer from the airport, the bus station or at your Hotel in Uyuni.

Price per person: 90 usd American dollars, group price (6 tourists plus 1 driver)

Included in the tours:

  • 1 night of accommodation in a basic hostel built with blocks of salt, the rooms are shared with your travel companions
  • 2 lunches, 1 breakfast, 1 dinner
  • Private transportation for our group, with an experienced driver in the area. - Spanish speaking -

 Not included in the tours:

  • Entrance fee to the Incahuasi Island bs.30 =4.5usd for foreign tourists.
  • Transportation La Paz – Uyuni – La Paz (additional cost: 300bs = 44usd round trip per person, with "semi cama" seats, bathroom on board, WiFi, movil phone charger and heating) the bus transportation departs at 8:30 p.m. and arrives at 7:00 a.m. and departs from Uyuni at 9:00 p.m. and arrives at 7:00 a.m.
  • Cost for accommodation in a double or twin accommodation with private bathroom 22usd per person.

Note: All income must be paid in Bolivian currency, upon reaching the site's attractions; During the rainy season it is not possible to visit Incahuasi Island.
